Fundraising riders participating on behalf of SoAzBigs do so as a fun and active way to support our life-changing one-to-one mentoring programs while earning their entry into the ride of their choice and winning prizes.
As a Defender of Potential Cyclist, you commit to raising a minimum of $400 by November 22, 2019. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona is an Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organization allowing Arizona residents to receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit.

Held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, El Tour is a fundraising adventure ride attracting over 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities from throughout the United States and worldwide, consisting of novice, intermediate, advanced, and professional cyclists. Join The Defenders for El Tour de Tucson 2019 on Saturday November 23rd, 2019.
SoAzBigs Defenders can choose to pedal a 25, 50, 75, or 100-mile tour through the Sonoran Desert from flat to rolling or moderately hilly course options. All cyclists are winners as all tour finishers receive a medal based on the distance completed. While the chosen distance dictates your start time and location, all tours end at Armory Park for the Downtown El Tour Celebration, a fiesta complete with music, drinks, food, vendors and more.
NEED A BIKE? By registering and fundraising for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona, you may be eligible for a loaner bicycle through Uphill Into The Wind. For more information and to determine eligibility contact Uphill into the Wind directly.

ALREADY REGISTERED FOR EL TOUR DE TUCSON? You can still sign up to ride as A Defender of Potential for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona. Raised the difference to meet your minimum fundraising goal of $400 and the fees paid to Perimeter Cycling will be acknowledged as a donation to BBBSSA. LOOP THE LOOP – Saturday September 21st
Ride 6:30-10:30AM and Party 11AM-1PM
Kick off the countdown to the El Tour de Tucson by joining up on the Loop! Enjoy beneficiaries and sponsors greeting you with goodies, fun activities and tour information at booth along the way. The ride wraps up with a party offering music, food and prizes.
PACKET PICK UP – HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO – Thursday and Friday November 21st-22nd
Tucson Convention Center, 260 S Church Avenue – 10AM-9PM
All El Tour de Tucson riders must pick up their rider packet in person with a photo ID. The Rider packet comes complete with your entry number and number badges as well as additional goodies and promotional advertisements. The Expo itself is free to the public and hosts many cycling, health and fitness vendors and retailers.

AFTER-TOUR AWARDS BRUNCH - Sunday December 8th – 10AM-12Noon
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona invites all fundraising riders, sponsors and community supporters to an informal awards brunch. Silver and Gold fundraisers are provided a complimentary brunch service however all our welcome to attend and purchase from a pre-selected menu. Top Fundraisers will be presented with an El Conquistador Trophy and MatchMaker medals.
